Aqua Timez

August 11th, 2008 · No Comments

Aqua Timez is one of my favorite Japanese pop rock bands. They have a unique music style and most of their songs are power ballads. The vocalist’s singing style is notable for its uniqueness because he is likeaqua timez rapping and singing at the same time. They also happen to have a talented female pianist who further imbues the distinct Aqua Timez flavor to their songs. Their style varies from classical plucking to modern heavy J-rock, sometimes in just one song. My favorite song from them is “Sen no Yoru wo Koete” which was featured as the ending song for the movie release of the popular anime series “Bleach.” Another noteworthy song from the band is the opening theme “Alones, ” which was used in the same anime series, somewhere in the Arrancar arc. Another song from them which was featured in an anime is “Ketsui no Asa ni” and happens to be one of the songs included in the soundrack of “Brave Story.”
