Do you like gangsters and mutants? Well “DOGS” is the manga comics for you. The manga series by Shirow Miwa is a story about a dystopian world of extreme violence, genetic manipulation and other illegal scientific experiments and underworldly activities. “DOGS: Stray Dogs Howling in the Dark” was first published in 2001 and was later followed by the one-shot “DOGS: Hardcore Twins”. In 2005, “DOGS/Bullets & Carnage” was released and that’s when the manga became serialized by Ultra Jump. I finished reading it but the manga series is still ongoing. I like the “Mafia and mutant” theme and the somewhat Korean-style manga art. Miwa’s art reminds me so much of Joe Madureira’s style, the one responsible for the art for X-Men comics back in the days of yore. Chapter 28 is the latest release off the manga series. The series revolve around coincidences that lead four individuals: the ex-hitman veteran Mihai, the invincible Haine, the vengeful assassin Naoto, and the private investigator Badou to meet one another.
