This is the follow-up to the groovin’ dance movie “Step Up,” which was released in August 2006. When street dancer Andie (played by Briana Evigan) went to an elite Maryland School of the Arts, she finds herself struggling to fit in while also trying to hold on to her past life. When she joins forces with the school’s hottest dancer Chase (played by Robert Hoffman) to form a team of classmates to compete in Baltimore’s underground Street Dancing, she wanted to find a way to live her dream while living between two separate worlds.
The sequel reunites much of the production team behind the original film including Step Up’s cutting-edge hip-hop choreographer Jamal Sims, who will also be joined this time by choreographers HiHat (hip-hop’s “High Diva of Dance”) and Dave Scott from the movie “Stomp the Yard.”
Check out this hip and electrifying dance movie of the year!
