YouTube: Your Way To Fame…

There was a time, and it was not so long ago, when trying to get a ticket to fame or stardom was a venture to be taken very seriously. It needed a whole lot of sacrifices, patience, and a large amount of what can be called “luck”. And this was a whole lot worse when it came to the music industry.

Way back years ago, if you somehow dreamt of becoming the next diva, pop star, or singing sensation, you really have to be patient and motivated to wait long hours of falling in line just to get a chance of (take note) making it to auditions. Auditions, as we know doesn’t necessarily guarantee anything. It would even be better if you expect to hear harsh words and self depriving comments from judges. Having a good voice really isn’t enough. You have to have the heart of a winner to make it.

Another ticket fame is to either know “somebody” who knows “somebody” who is “somebody” in the music industry, and hope to impress that somebody. And I tell you, there is a very very slim chance of this happening to you even if you have the voice of Whitney or Celine. Many have tried, and many have cried.

But that was years ago.

Now we live in a time where almost everything can happen in the Internet. I guess everyone well-oriented with the Internet knows what YouTube is. It is a website where you can store your videos for everyone to view, and surprisingly, some people made good use of it. Some aspiring singer/songwriter’s even got lucky and got their ticket to fame thru Youtube. Names like Marie Digby, Kina Grannis, Terra Naomi, Mia Rose, Bridget Hermano, and Anna Free (just to name some) are just some of the “Girls In Tune” who made a name for themselves without the hassles of falling in line for auditions, or making friends (with benefits) with someone who is a “Somebody” in the industry. The funny thing is most, if not all, of them earned their fame while singing in their bathrooms, living rooms, or garden, and after recording it in their cameras they simply uploaded the video and waited for online viewers to discover those. Its that simple!

You’ve probably heard those names somewhere (like in the radio), probably cause some of them have albums out in the market already. But come to think of it, they (like everyone else) dreamed of making it big, and YouTube gave them the opportunity to realize their dreams from their homes.

Wanna be famous? …. YouTube your way to fame.
