Foods That Help Burn Fat (Part 1)

March 15th, 2008 · No Comments

For those who want to lose unwanted fat, you should choose these foods and make them your staple source in your diet.

1. Oatmeals

A good source of complex carbohydrates that most bodybuilders and fitness models consume should have a good balance of fat, starchy carbohydrates and protein. Choose only all-natural oats and stay away from sweetened or flavored oatmeal, since they are already processed and added with sugar.

2. Yams and Sweet Potatoes

Yams and sweet potatoes are an all-natural, low calorie source of complex carbohydrates and they are also packed full of nutrients and antioxidants such as beta-carotene.

3. Potatoes (White or Red)

Potatoes are another good source of complex carbohydrates. They are low in calories, are filling, and contain fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Make sure not to mix potatoes with butter, sour cream, or bacon bits though since they will then become fattening and calorie dense.

4. Brown Rice

A good source of carbohydrate and contains vitamins and minerals. Best way to cook brown rice is either steamed or boiled; never fry it since it will increase its calorie and fat content.
