That’s probably a phrase commonly used but is it based on fact and not just some nice-sounding phrase probably composed by a woman to show dominance over men?

Well, I do believe in it. It’s a feeling when your heart suddenly beats faster — you just know something bad has or will happen. It usually has something to do with your family or someone you care about. From experience, scenarios that involve the latter more often than not trigger the sensation. There must be some sort of connection between women and the people they care about especially ones of the opposite sex.

Take my experience. The very first time I saw this ‘friend’ of mine on a motorcycle, something just didn’t feel right. It’s not like I’m not used to seeing guys I know on cycles — a lot of my friends do use them. With Mr. X, it just didn’t feel right. From day one I really hated the idea of him riding a motorcycle but I couldn’t pinpoint why. This feeling resurfaced on one of our overnight outings at the beach. Something just wasn’t right that time. Mr. X decided to leave quite early in the morning. I tried to convince him to rest first but to no avail. As we went separate ways, this ‘feeling’ intensified.

Guess what happened next? He had an accident that very morning! Reason? He fell asleep while driving! Since then he has had two more accidents and counting.

I’m sure my fellow female species can remember instances when they got this ‘feeling’ too. So girls, when your hearts suddenly starts palpitating, your hands get sweaty, and/or you start feeling worried, do not ignore these signs! You might just be able to prevent something from happening or at least be ready once it happens. Guys, please listen to women! Swallow your pride and just listen! Remember, we were created to complement you and perhaps this ‘gift’ we possess does serve that purpose.
