The present Philippine government has faced quite a number of issues already. To top it all off, the problem on rice shortage has already severely affected most of my countrymen. The market price of rice has increased tremendously to the point that some of them are seriously starting to worry about their food budget. Truth is that a lot of these individuals only generate minimum pay while some are suffering from being underemployed.

The food we Filipinos always expect on the table is rice; it is a daily staple. Some of my countrymen are so destitute that they have to resort to eating rice without any viand. Pouring some sugar or putting some soy sauce on it would already satisfy their hunger. What with the current crisis, many are wondering what they would do if the rice shortage would become a full-fledged threat to their very survival.

Rice is life for the Filipinos. If this becomes hard to appropriate, then many would definitely go hungry and this would result into serious problems for the government. What are the leaders of the country to stop this serious crisis? It seems that these leaders only run in the election for the selfish purpose of earning money and becoming even much richer while a lot of the Filipinos get drowned with huge debts just to have a normal life.
